



Developing countries.
A large proportion of maternal and infant morality cases are caused by preventable diseases. Young children are more vulnerable to these diseases and often suffer from health implications after birth.
Fertility rates are much higher in poorly resourced countries due to the lack of access to contraceptives.
There’s a risk of maternal death in Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia. Every year over 500,000 woman die due to pregnancy related conditions globally, 99% of these are in developing countries.
An estimated 4 million newborn babies die within the first 28 days of life, living in developing countries.
It is often found that a child dies several days after birth, due to infections and diseases caused by poor living conditions and limited access to healthcare.
