Developing countries.

A large proportion of maternal and infant morality cases are caused by preventable diseases. Young children are more vulnerable to these diseases and often suffer from health implications after birth.

  • Fertility rates are much higher in poorly resourced countries due to the lack of access to contraceptives.

  • There’s a risk of maternal death in Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia. Every year over 500,000 woman die due to pregnancy related conditions globally, 99% of these are in developing countries.

  • An estimated 4 million newborn babies die within the first 28 days of life, living in developing countries.

  • It is often found that a child dies several days after birth, due to infections and diseases caused by poor living conditions and limited access to healthcare.
